Dünder Makine: Quality, Speed & Trust

A complete extraction and distillation plant usually fills an entire hall with separate machines, each handling a single step. We took a different approach and engineered all four core processes into one integrated system. The result is a single plant that carries a botanical from its raw form to a finished aromatic extract.

One Plant, Four Processes

Extraction, distillation, resin distillation and solvent recovery are normally four separate lines, with four separate footprints. In this extraction and distillation plant they share a single steam, vacuum and condensing circuit, working together as one system. That reduces floor space, simplifies operation and keeps the entire process under tight control.

The 1000 Litre Extractor

The heart of the line is a 1000 litre extractor, fabricated in three millimetre stainless steel, and it performs both extraction and distillation in the same vessel. An internal heating coil and a reducer geared mixer spread heat evenly across the whole charge. A bottom basket and a hydraulically actuated bottom closure make discharging the spent material fast and clean, while full external insulation keeps heat loss to a minimum.

The Distiller and First Solvent Recovery

The distiller is where the first evaporation takes place, and where most of the solvent is recovered for reuse. An internal steam heating element raises the temperature gradually and under control, so the solvent volatilises while the heat sensitive aromatics stay intact. Temperature and pressure gauges, together with sight and inspection glasses, give the operator full visual control. Through the condenser, the recovered solvent returns to the circuit in a closed loop, with almost no loss.

Resin Distillation for Frankincense and Myrrh

A dedicated resin distillation unit handles high viscosity, resinous botanicals such as frankincense and myrrh. Its conical body guides the dense resin toward a DN150 discharge valve for clean, complete evacuation. A reducer geared mixer keeps the thick mass in constant motion, while jacketed steam heating and full insulation hold the process stable and efficient. Resins that overwhelm conventional systems are processed here without issue.

Low Temperature Evaporation and Closed Loop Recovery

Recovered solvent is collected in the main alcohol tanks and recirculated, a closed loop that produces almost no waste. The final stage is the evaporator, where full concentration is achieved under vacuum and at low temperature. This protects the most delicate, heat sensitive aromatic fractions, which is essential for high quality natural extracts.

Engineered as One System

A complete plant is far more than its main vessels. A dedicated condenser for each unit, a vacuum pump rated at fifteen cubic metres per hour, a vacuum catch trap, an alcohol transfer pump, settling and maturation tanks and resin separation vessels all work together. Steam, vacuum, alcohol and water run through DN25 stainless steel lines from end to end, every component designed for safe and reliable operation.

Built by Dünder Machine

Dünder Machine has been designing and manufacturing distillation and extraction equipment since 1980, exporting to more than 30 countries. From a single botanical charge to a pure aromatic extract, this extraction and distillation plant shows what is possible when a full process is engineered as one system.
