Dünder Makine has completed another international project: a turnkey essential oil distillation plant in Burkina Faso. Our own team designed, built, installed and started it. Now the site covers the full chain, from raw plant material to a packed final product, in West Africa.
An essential oil distillation plant with four 1,000-litre stills
At the heart of the facility are four 1,000-litre stainless steel stills. The plant uses water and steam distillation. This proven method recovers the oil while it protects the delicate aroma.
Around the stills, we delivered a fully integrated line:
- A steam generator to drive the process
- A cooling tower and condensers
- Florentine separators for clean oil and water separation
- Stainless steel tanks for the finished oil
We made every part in food and cosmetic grade stainless steel. As a result, the oil stays pure and the plant lasts for years.
From distillation to bottling in one flow
This project does not stop at distillation. The plant also has a full bottling line with a filling pump, a capper and an automatic labeller. So the team can distill, store, fill, cap and label the oil without leaving the site.
For a new producer, this saves a lot of work. Instead of dealing with many suppliers, they work with one. Therefore, the path from harvest to market gets shorter.
Turnkey means more than equipment
A turnkey project is only as strong as its start-up. That is why our team travelled to Burkina Faso for installation, start-up and training. The local team learned to run the plant safely before we handed it over.
